This clip was uploaded to YouTube by lepoissonriuge on July 7. The short description reads “Found a clip on old video tape 1970’s? 80’s?…like a Japanese version Doctor Who. Anyone?” The thing is that no one seems to know if it’s real. There is no mention on the internets of a 1970s or 80s Japanese Doctor Who knockoff. I haven’t been able to find anything, nor have any of the other blogs that have posted it (more than a dozen of them by my count). However, if it’s a parody no one is coming forward to claim credit.
Whatever it is, whoever it is by, it is awful in the best possible way. If this is an actual show, or movie that exists in Japan it is a potential gold mine of DVD sales.
