- Chemtrails are just water vapour
- Chiropractors are not doctors
- Climate change is real and caused by humans
- Conspiracy theories that involve any large number of people are very unlikely to be true
- There is no cure for the common cold (secret/suppressed or otherwise); there is also no cure for cancer yet.
- Detoxing is fake, your liver and kidneys remove toxins from your body but nothing else does
- Gender differences; differences between men and women, aren’t that significant scientifically speaking
- Homeopathy doesn’t work.
- Modern humans came out of Africa, most of us can trace our ancestry to a single migration from there.
- the Earth is not flat and it is 4.56 billion years old, not six thousand
- Earth’s 6th mass extinction event is currently underway.
- Evolution by natural selection is the key to understanding the development of life on Earth
- Fluoride in drinking water is a good idea.
- The left brain vs. right brain thing is a myth, so is the idea that we only use 10 percent of our brain
- Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are perfectly safe
- Gluten-sensitivity, among people who do not have celiac disease, may not exist.
- Herbal medicines are less regulated than pharmaceuticals, aren’t tested as carefully and aren’t necessarily any safer
- Most Juice is not any healthier than soda.
- Milk is pasteurized for a reason.
- the Moon landing was not a hoax
- Naturopaths are not doctors
- Nuclear power will be a part of any clean energy future and that’s ok
- Organic produce isn’t better for you or the planet
- Personality tests such as Myers-Briggs have no value.
- Pluto is still not a planet but there may be another planet in the distant reaches of our solar system.
- Race is a social/cultural construct with no foundation in biology/science
- Vaccines are safe and effective; they do not cause autism.
- Vitamin and mineral supplements don’t help most people most of the time, with a few exceptions
