I can’t tell you what the best alternative to Google reader is. Such things are not one-size-fits-all. It depends on personal tastes, preferences, how you use it and on what device. I haven’t even decided what I’m using yet. If you can’t do a straight import of your feeds a reader can take a long time to set up. Making the wrong choice means wasted time. Hopefully, somewhere in there is your replacement. Of course Google Reader doesn’t officially shut down until July 1. Maybe, for the good of the internets, Google will change their mind.
